Africa is a continent.

Africa lies south of Europe and southwest of Asia. To the west of Africa lies the Atlantic Ocean. To the East lies the Indian Ocean. Between Europe and Africa lies the Mediterranean Sea.

In the north of Africa lies the Sahara, the largest desert in the world. To the south, there is much more forest, even rain forest. Well-known African animals are the elephant and the zebra. Africa was probably where the first humans lived.
