Introduction

In the contemporary digital age, we stand at an intersection of immense potential and challenges. Platforms like Wikipedia, as part of the vast online knowledge repository, are redefining the dynamics of classroom education. Yet, while it's one thing to have a reservoir of information, it's entirely another to navigate, access, evaluate, and utilize it responsibly, especially when you consider the integration of such resources into AI models and platforms. The Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom program in Kwara State Nigeria 2.0 is

Objective of this project:

1. Adopting a follow-up initiative to the Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom program for Teachers in Kwara State.

2. Step-down training by certified teachers

3. Organizing a refresher course for Teachers to broaden their knowledge and increase skills.

4. Invite certified teachers for the RWC 2022 to help mentor the new teachers. (3 certified teachers from various schools will be invited to mentor and supervise the training.

Program Goals[edit]

  1. Create awareness among 45 secondary school Teachers, from different schools, on the effective usage of Wikipedia as a learning tool for retrieving, creating, and evaluating information.
  2. The 45 teachers in Kwara, enrolled in this program, will be able to understand, access, retrieve, and evaluate information on Wikipedia and its sister projects.
