Goals[edit]

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?

Indeed, we successfully achieved our objectives by effectively introducing Wikipedia, particularly Wiki commons, to a fresh audience. This generated enthusiasm for future campaigns among students. They eagerly participated in the training and enthusiastically uploaded images to Wiki Commons. We're excitedly awaiting the opportunity for another campaign, which will further enrich their understanding of Wikimedia and its associated projects.

Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

1.Effective project work thrives on clear communication among team members, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that encourages the sharing of ideas and insights,. Defined roles and responsibilities ensure that each team member contributes their expertise to the project's success. Setting achievable goals and milestones creates a sense of direction, allowing for systematic progress tracking. Adaptability to changes and unforeseen challenges, combined with proactive problem-solving, keeps the project on track. Proper resource allocation and time management prevent bottlenecks and maintain steady progress. And most importantly we were able to upload even more than the set amount of pictures to be uploaded on wiki commons.

  • What did not work so well?

Well, we also had some issues, especially the day we scheduled for the photo walk it was a sunny day which reduces people moods, energy thereby making them lack productivity. We also used more than the time we ought to because participants had to take a short break.

  • What would you do differently next time?

1. Make sure to focus more on promoting the campaign that's being held for the first time in a particular place.

2. Locate a more suitable spot with consistent and affordable electricity availability.

3. I will ensure diligent assessment of meteorological conditions prior to finalizing a date for the event.
