Requests for comment/Intentional disruptive editing by bnwiki admin

I started Project Korikath a few months ago. This is basically a commons-based project, with the aim of documenting the local visual knowledge. From the very first, User:আফতাবুজ্জামান was mocking me and my project off wiki initially. Then he started on wiki interruptive editing on our project pages. He tried to change our project’s name forcefully. We are trying to build a wikimedia brand for project korikath and for that reason, we are very careful regarding the name, graphics and branding resources of the project. I requested User:আফতাবুজ্জামান not to do this without the consent of the project team but he didn’t listen to us and continued doing the same. Here are some of the links to his disruptive editing.

He is an administrator of bnwiki. A few days ago, he tried to stop people from using our project’s photo on bnwiki homepage as featured images. When asked, he couldn’t show any local Wikipedia policy that supports his activities. Most importantly, he explicitly mentioned the name of a high school, the high school where most of our project's contributors study, in his discussion and tried to verbally attack us through that. The annotated link to that incident can be found here. Another important information to keep in mind that almost 95% of our project's contributors are legally juveniles. This user accused the high school authority, without any proof, for explicitly interrupting our edits where our institution(s) has no relation to this project.

On this recent bnwiki discussion on this user's disruptive editing, I requested him to stop vandalism on our project's pages. He told me in reply, "please be mindful of what you're saying before calling me a vandal." That sentence sounded like a threat to me and that's why I'm bringing this issue here.

I suspect that changing the name of our project forcefully is nothing but a way to hamper the project and not from the intention of contributing to the development of the wikimedia projects since he was already mocking us on different platforms from the very first.

This time I am afraid since he is the administrator of bnwiki and he may abuse his onwiki advanced rights. –Wasiul Bahar (talk) 14:21, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
