The closing committee member provided the following comment:
Valencian doesn't have an ISO 639 code. According to ISO 639 it is a variety of Catalan, which already has a Wikipedia, which accepts articles written in all varieties of this language. Amir E. Aharoni

I wanted to create a Wikipedia in Valencian because this important language has not got a Wikipedia and people from Valencia could use a Wikipedia in their lenguage, that is very important for them.
Arguments in favour
- This lenguage is spoken by, at least, 1 million people.
- This lenguage has got lots of historical references.
Arguments against
- Many people think Valencian is a variety of Catalan, that already has a Wikipedia.
