Talk:Wikiresearch

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

moved from article page

This is more for Wikiabstracts, and could even be placed on Wikibooks or Wikipedia:

Charter[edit]

WikiResearch is intended to serve as an authoritative repository of information and research sources.

I think it shouldn't be neither a repository, neither author-itative (at least not from the start). Akagu 21:01, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Illustration[edit]

Take a topic like Quantum Physics. On its page, there would be a description of the skeletal structure of the field (i.e. subfields, schools..etc) with list of all journals, organizations, important conferences...etc. Unlike Wikisource, which deals with public domain texts, WikiResearch is like a catalogue. For something like Fine Art, there would be a list of published catalogs, famous galleries, auction houses...etc.

Wikipedia can have catalogue articles... Akagu 21:01, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Name[edit]

The project does require a proper name.
