WMF notifies applicants using the contact information provided in the grant submission or the accompanying email.

1. Applicants will be contacted within 7 days of submitting an open request and notifying WMF by email at grants AT wikimedia DOT org, to acknowledge the new request.
2. Within 30 days, applicants will receive a decision or an update on the status of the submission In cases when additional information is required, the grantee needs time to meet eligibility requirements, or when the grantee is not responsive to requests for information from WMF or the GAC, the review period may be extended.
3. During the review period, potential grantees should add the grant submission and the accompanying discussion page to their Watchlist and monitor changes there closely so that they may respond to comments, requests, and questions in a timely and complete manner.
4. If the grant submission is approved, WMF will contact the grantee within 7 days of the decision in order to request the information required to process the grant. After the grantee provides the information requested and if the information is accurate and barring special circumstances, the funds will be wired within 21 to 30 days.
