Abstract:
Wikisource is a Wikimedia Foundation project that preserves public domain texts, including source texts previously published by any author, translations of original texts, and historical documents of national or international interest.
This workshop will aim to teach the basics of editing Wikisource, from digitization, uploading, indexing, editing, and proofreading.
I will share some of the basic tools and templates that help while editing Wikisource.

How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of Turkic world?
Despite the fact that the attendees are from different countries and communities, having a workshop on Wikisource will help them to spread the idea of Wikisource among their community members and digitalize their text sources.
