CIS-A2K team has been collaborating with Indian Wikimedians towards raising their technical skills and to create technical leadership. It has been established ( needs assessment surveys and feedback of the MWT workshops) majority of Indian Wikimedians are unaware of the tools and gadgets that have been in existence and used extensively by global Wikimedians. This problem is compounded also due to the, lack of effort in documenting these tools in Indian languages and absence of technical training. Tools introduction sessions.

A2K team has been working to bridge this gap by bringing together Wikimedians who have shown interest in technical learning along with members from the like minded communities (FOSS, Mapbox, Data-meet) and organise training to discuss, introduce and document various tools, techniques and gadgets available for Wikimedians.
