General picture[edit]

Reorganisation and clarification[edit]

  • Photographic material not in the micro-grants budget anymore
  • New, bigger team
  • Support from employees

Global money[edit]

8885€ of the 10 000€ planned were spent, representing almost 90% of the budget. Last year, 2 863€ of the 5 000€ were spent, of which 1 600€ were for photograhic material, meaning we increased both our spending (we gave 4 times more to contributors) and our ability to plan.

Money spent 88% 12%

Number of demands[edit]

We increased from 6 demands last year, one of which for photographic material, to 33 this year.

Satisfaction of demands 94% 6%

Of these demands, only two were refused and two satisfied on different budgets. This can mean that the goal and scope of the micro-grants programm is understood and clear, but also that people are only asking for projects they are sure will be accepected.

Who demands[edit]

18 (64%) of these demands were done by people who are not members of the chapter, meaning the micro-grants programm starts to be known and recognized by the communities.

What are these demands for ?[edit]

Speaking only about the accepted demands, 17 (52%) were for the French Wikipedia, 8 (25%) for Wikimedia Commons, two (6%) for Wikidata and the 4 others (12%) were for the promotion of the whole Wikimedia and free licence movement.

These demands are related to history (6), arts (5), sports (4), geography (3), religion (2), sciences (1) and politics (1). There are some demands related to two main themes (for instance, pictures of historical buildings are both about architecture, thus arts, and history) and some to none. The four main themes of the French wikipedia not covered this year are leasures, medecine, society, and technology.

What is asked ?[edit]

The micro-grants programm was used mainly for books (10 demands), and workshops (4 demands, 3 for travel, one for tools).
