Spam I think & needs careful attention (not got time at present). Seems related to lulu.com which I'd fairly sure is blacklisted at en wp --Herby ^{talk thyme} 07:38, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm not so sure about blacklisting. From the website:

"The book is freely downloadable under a Creative Commons license as a PDF and low cost printed copies can be purchased from lulu.com. This web site will be used for information relating to the book, and other pertinent announcements. We also have a discussion group for questions and conversation related to the book."

There are no ads and it's free content. Yes, it has been spammed, but I suggest it's high quality content if you look at the book's text. The authors are a bunch of PhDs in Europe and North America.

I don't think this rises to the level of concern to justify the draconian step of meta blacklisting. --A. B. ^(talk) 03:26, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

I am reopening this discussion. Riccardo Poli created an account and an article for himself and asked for whitelisting. He wrote this book, so these additions were all promotional. The book may make a good reference here and there, but I suggest that all occurances where this author added it to external links, further reading or unspecific reference section are cleaned. --Dirk Beetstra ^{T C} (en: U, T) 10:11, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

I am seriously considering to blacklist this. It is mainly a front for lulu.com (blacklisted on en), hosted on a blog, the owner is quite interested in the number of downloads the site has (see also the page itself), and the reference can also be alive with e.g. the ISBN. Hi, I'm the "spammer". I'd just like to say that I'm sorry I caused extra work to lots of people with this. I've had a significant exchange of messages with Dirk (incidentally, many thanks for your time), and it is clear that I have a lot to learn about Wikipedia etiquette. Anyway, to remedy the situation, I've now removed references to the web site in all the entries I edited (I did not have an account until recently, so some are under my home IP address or my laptop IP address, etc.), replacing them, upon Dirk's suggestion, with the book's ISBN number.
