Simple Wikiversity[edit]

"SIL" is the language code for the Tumulung Sisaala language [1] which has nothing to do with Simple English. I've removed it. The template requires an w:ISO 639-1 or w:ISO 639-3 language code, but Simple English does not have one. This could be a problem as there is a new rule that was created after Simple Wikipedia started. No Simple projects have been created since then and there have been many attempts to close Simple projects. Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Simple English Wikibooks and Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Simple English Wikiquote were both closed.

It may be difficult to get support for a Simple Wikiversity. I would suggest that you start creating lessons on betawikiversity and find more editors to show that there is enough interest. Even if there is no dedicated site for the project that lessons will still be useful. Let me know if you need any help. --mikeu talk 23:18, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
I kindly ask you to stop re-adding "simple" over and over again to the box which asks for a "valid ISO 639-1 or 639-3 language code", since "simple" is not such a "valid ISO 639-1 or 639-3 language code".
Thanks for understanding, --Vogone (talk) 17:24, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Vogone:As it is a code. Its just not with 2-3 characters. SleepyMode (talk) 11:04, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't make it an ISO 639-1 or 639-3 language code, which the template is asking for. It is indeed a code which is currently used for Simple English projects, though. --Vogone (talk) 12:04, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Vogone: Just let it be so it won't mess it up please. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by SleepyMode (talk)
Blocked you for two days since page protection alone doesn't seem to be an effective enough measure in order to prevent you from messing up the template. --Vogone (talk) 15:20, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Vogone: i put it in only to sort the URL... SleepyMode (talk) 15:21, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Harassment workshop[edit]

Greetings! You are receiving this message because, at some point in the past, you have participated in a discussion around the topic of harassment. The Support and Safety team is holding a series of consultations gathering feedback on the best potential solutions to the problem. The next stage is a workshop where we hope to narrow the focus to individual actionable ideas and explore how to bring some of these ideas to life.

Best regards, the Support and Safety team via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 16:35, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
