Hi, I have just install from svn and pgsql work fine so far, but I am not using all the wikimedia options, I just start using it few days ago.

I saw your 'gin' (the genuine, not the drink) hack, you should know that a patch is availble also for pg8.1 (I mean gin patch).

Regarding Tsearch2, there is surely more improvment (thesaurus etc...)

Also, pg8.2 introduce :

Query language enhancements including INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE RETURNING, multirow VALUES lists, and optional target-table alias in UPDATE/DELETE -> let dev do something like replace (mysql) 'more' nicely...

and about bytea|text data type... I have seen the bug regarding math (the pack() of md5 ....) : in what way are you going to manage that ?
