1. Briefly describe how your strategies and activities proposed were implemented and if any changes to what was proposed are worth highlighting?

  • The activities planned ie Training and launching of the 2023 wikiGAP competition for Luganda Wikipedia were fully implemented through a training organized at Hive Colub on Saturday 11th, March, 2023.
  • 14 Volunteers attended the event and they signed on the Dashboard for Uganda's WikiGAP 2023 and started to participate in the campaign. Copy of the attendance list attached and Photos are on Wiki Commons.
  • There were no changes made in the strategies and activities.

2. Were there any strategies or approaches that you feel are being effective in achieving your goals?

  • Yes: The approach of having a physical training is very important and works because volunteers learn as they practice and they can ably work from their homes after the training.

3. What challenges or obstacles have you encountered so far?

  • There is still a challenge of inadequate computers. They are very many people who would be willing to join the group, but they do not have computers.

4. Please describe how different communities are participating and being informed about your work.

Different communities including Teachers especially those of Luganda Language are participating. Among others are journalists who are now greatly contributing to the cause.

5. Please share reflections on how your efforts are helping to engage participants and/or build content, particularly for underrepresented groups.

7. What are the next steps and opportunities you’ll be focusing on for the second half of your work?

During the Period April, May and June we plan to have a Training in regards to making wikidata I tems and their Descriptions in Luganda and there after we shall do a month-long  competition  that will help us have thousands of Wikidata Items in Luganda
