Educational Partnership

  • It allows improving cooperation, collaboration, and communication in educational institution, can increase the education quality, e.g., improving teaching skills.
  • It increases a better community relationships, e.g., between teachers, administrative stuff, and students.
  • It helps educational communities to leverage their capacities by means of providing resources for teacher in the use of Wikipedia in their classroom, i.e., this project can be implemented throughout 3 sessions.

  • It shows how to manage Fiscal sponsorships
  • It can help to Wikimedia on how to manage a sponsorship (a grant) to run projects
  • Furthermore, it showcases where it can work or not, e.g., descriptive examples.

Leamos Wikipedia en Bolivia

  • It shows how the "Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom" is being implemented in Bolivia.
  • They achieved to certify 60 Teachers, whose developed 40 plans to use Wikipedia in their sessions.
  • The project reached 8 out of 9 regions in Bolivia, which demonstrates the applicability of Wikipedia.
  • Furthermore, they are planning to implement the program in various native languages like Aymara, Guarani, and Quechua.

When Quechua meets Wikibase

  • It describes a process model of how to create a knowledge base for an under-resourced language (i.e. Quechua Knowledge Base).
  • Also, it describes the creation, hosting, curation, and deployment of the Quechua Knowledge Base.
  • Then, it presents some use cases where the Quechua Knowledge Base can be used or applied.
  • Finally, it analysis the social and technological implications of implementing a Community driven knowledge base.
How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022? How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022?
  • I was able to connect with other participants and Wikimedians through the online event. I have participated as listener and speaker. So, I have the chance to make questions and answer them as well.
  • I celebrated Wikimania 2022 by sharing it with friends (online), it was their first time attending a conference and meeting Wikimedia folks.
