Collaboration with Brusov State University[edit]

On February 9, senior students from the Faculty of Translation and Intercultural Communication and the Faculty of Russian and Foreign Languages of Brusov State University started their internship in Wikimedia Armenia.
In the first phase of the internship, during the training held in the office, the students registered on Wikipedia, learned about the history of Wikipedia, the five pillars, the main rules and regulations, and also learned how to edit and create articles on Wikipedia.
The training was held on February 9-24. The 52 participating students were divided into 4 groups, each of which participated in 5 training which lasted 2 hours. Thanks to the acquired skills, the students started translating articles during the training. In February, 26 students wrote 59 articles with a volume of 2,196,616 bytes.
Introduction to Wikimedia movement at American University of Armenia[edit]
On March 2, Wikimedia Armenia Quality Content Coordinator Mher Bekaryan had an introductory meeting with a group of students from American University of Armenia. During the meeting, he introduced the attendees to the editing tools of Wikipedia and sister projects, to the history of the Wikimedia movement and its objectives.
Interested students decided to create Wikipedia articles related to their profession. In the coming month the students will work in their Wikipedia sandboxes and after a month they will wikify their articles with the help of Wikimedia Armenia staff and move them to Wikipedia article namespace.
Collaboration with Ijevan Branch of Yerevan State University[edit]

On March 1, the staff of Wikimedia Armenia visited the city of Ijevan. In the Ijevan Branch of Yerevan State University, a workshop was organized for 15 students. Seven of them were studying in the Faculty of History, and eight of them - in the Faculty of Armenian Literature. The students presented their created and improved articles and jointly made corrections. Then the Wikimedia Armenia staff had a meeting with the director and deputy director of YSU Ijevan Branch. Agreements were reached to continue the cooperation and bring it to a new level.
Within the first 20 days of the collaboration and during the 7 online workshops, students were introduced to wiki editing tools; at the same time, they chose articles based on their profession and began creating or improving them in their Armenian Wikipedia sandboxes. During the month of February, 7 articles were improved and 11 were created with a total volume of 225,000 bytes. The collaboration will continue in March, as well.
The Visit of Students of Gazprom Armenia Educational-Sports Complex to Wikimedia Armenia[edit]
On February 15, a group of students from the Gazprom Armenia Educational-Sports Complex visited Wikimedia Armenia's office. Six school students and their two leaders were introduced to the events organized and planned by Wikimedia Armenia, the history of Wikipedia; important rules and regulations were presented, as well. At the end, the attendees registered on Wikipedia; the structure of articles, the main editing tools, and the ways to create a new article were presented to them.

As of February 28, 96 members are registered in 6 active Wikiclubs: Goris, Ddmashen, Lernapat, Koghbi, Hatsik, and Stepanakert. In February 2023, the members of Wikiclubs continued to participate in the “Music project”, during which they transferred and wikified the materials of the "Encyclopedia of Armenian Music" ("Haykakan hanragitaran hratarakchutyun", 2019) released under the Creative Commons BY-SA 3.0 license to the Armenian Wikipedia. Club members also created missing elements of created pages in the Wikidata project, or linked created articles to already existing ones. Within the framework of this project, a total of 208 articles with a volume of 920,440 bytes were created in February. During the entire project (January 15 - February 28) 429 articles with a total volume of 1,846,869 bytes were created. In February, 52 out of 96 members of Wikiclubs edited Wikipedia. They created 289 articles and made 1,328 edits. Contribution by volume - 1,698,779 bytes. 11 of the Wikiclub members edited in Wikisource, where they made a total of 37 edits, creating 7 pages and proofreading 6 pages. Their contributions by volume - 21,695 bytes.
