The aim of this project is to raise awareness of Wikimedia projects in Federal College of Education (Technical) in Gombe State, among the librarians and library students of the college community and promote active participation of librarians (who are also academics) and students of the institution.

Program goals[edit]

  • Create awareness among the college community.
  • Recruit users.
  • Introduction to Wikimedia projects.
  • Train Users on how to navigate Wikipedia space, safety tips and content policy.
  • Introduction and practical session on how to edit and create Wikipedia articles.
  • Introduction and practical session on how to contribute to Wikimedia Commons.
  • Introduction and practical session on how to edit and create Wikidata.

How to participate[edit]

1 Sign in or Create a New Account on Wikipedia.

2 Enroll on the Outreach Dashboard to track your contributions.

3 Sign up in the participant section on this page.

Online Meet-up/Training[edit]
