2022-08-02: Human Rights Month on Wikipedia: See the results of the challenge[edit]
The pilot year of the Wikipedia Human Rights Month challenge is over. 54 Wikipedians edited a total of 96 articles. We held 4 online and offline editathons. More than 20 non-profits supported us. 2022-08-05: Take part in the photographic wikiwalk from Srubec[edit]
All Wikipedia editors are invited to join the afternoon Wikipedia photo walk from Srubec to Rudolfov at the end of the holiday season as one of the Wikipedia in-person events. The main idea of the event is a personal meeting of Wikipedians in the south of Bohemia, connected with work for Wikimedia Foundation projects (Wikipedia, WM Commons, Wikidata, etc.).
The meeting point is at the public transport stop Srubec Točna on Sunday 28 August 2022 at 13:30 and the route is about 7 km. More details and the registration form can be found here https://w.wiki/5YEE.

2022-08-15: New article on the blog: The tenth Wikiexpedition took place in July![edit]
Have you ever heard of Wikiexpedition? Wikiexpedition is a photography event focused on photographing undocumented places. This year's Šumava Wikiexpedition was already the tenth Czech photography event. You can read how the event took place and what we managed to photograph in the blog article.

During July, you could participate in a photography competition focused on photographing nature and architecture in protected areas in the Czech Republic. You can read about how the competition was conducted and who won itin the articleon the blog.

The Wikimedia CR Annual Report 2021 is now online in both Czech and English. Take a look and see how we developed our Community Programmes, Education Programmes and Partnership Programmes last year.
2022-08-12: Presentation at the international conference Wikimania 2022[edit]
The Executive Director and the Fundraiser of the Wikimedia Czech Republic have prepared their input for the international conference Wikimania 2022. You can watch their presentation on how to promote Wikimedia activities and what it is like to have an in-house fundraiser and PR specialist online or on Wikimedia Foundation YouTube. The entry, titled "How to promote your activities and why having a PR and fundraising specialist makes sense", can be seen on August 13 at 7:25-7:55 UTC in "Tent 2".
