Wikiproject Data-a-thon 2016 is an online as offline Wikidata editing competiton which is organized by Wikimedia Nepal in order to link the as much as data of Nepali Wikipedia with Wikidata which is the repository that provides link to the wiki contents. This program is going to be held during the whole month of April 2016 and this program was first time launched on 1st April 2015.

Aims

The following are the project aims :-

• To increase wikidata's participation,
• To create or modify wikidata items,
• To develop level of Nepali Wikipedia,
• To increase nepali native speakers in Nepali Wikipedia,
• To promote the contribution of local contents in Nepali Wikipedia,
• To increase women's involvement in community projects,
• Establish and consolidate the existence of the Wikimedia Nepal.

Rules

The following are the rules to be followed during the event :-

1. The participants must list his/her signature or name in local project page here.
2. The contributions must be given between 0:00 UTC on 15 April 2016 and 23:59 UTC on 15 May 2016.
3. Articles withoutinterwiki in newiki should be linked with enwiki or other wiki articles.
4. Edit of leaving messages on talk pages should not counted in the competition.
