Overview[edit]

The aim of our WMTurkic MCDC activities is for Turkic-speaking Wikimedians to take an active role in the formation process of the Movement Charter and to contribute by translating the resulting into their local languages. In addition, while doing all these, it is aimed for them to learn about the Movement Charter and to generate various ideas by brainstorming within the WMTurkic community.

Goals[edit]

  • Translating Movement Charter pages into Turkic languages
  • Participants have an idea about the Movement Charter and produce ideas on this project
  • Turkic-speaking Wikimedians will be more active in the construction of Movement Strategy

MCDC Workshop at Turkic Wikimedia Conference[edit]

  • October 20, 2023, Istanbul

Participants who came together at the Turkic Wikimedia Conference held in Istanbul, Türkiye between 20-22 October 2023, listened to the WMTurkic MCDC Ambassador Program. Then, users were asked to express their opinions after the Global Council and Hubs titles were announced. The ideas expressed were discussed and the outputs were recorded in writing.
