Explain your plan[edit]

Tell us about how you contribute currently, and how you would contribute if WMF were to gift a used laptop to you.

Both administratorial and editorial duties, 87000 locally and 127.000 on all projects [1], activity which I've started since 2009. As administrator I am the third most active on my local Wiki, where I patrol the recent changes page as much as I can, and I try to improve and wikifying many new pages so that they won't get deleted. I am an active filter editor, trying to lower the number of daunting reverts required for obscenities and other vandalisms. I am also a template editor and try to unify the style of our infoboxes, I insert infoboxes in articles which need them with my robot [2], and I complete missing data at Wikidata. As an Wikipedia editor my main topics are sports, movies and music, but I try to develop any article nominated to GA or FA in order to meet the requirments. I also try to keep those standards, sometimes eding up with doubling the article's size [3]. A part of my activity can be seen on my local Wikipedia page. Because of my PC's performances editing becomes very slow many times, often I have to wait for tens of seconds until what I type appears on the screen and until saving the page, things that discourages me from editing. Also, in the last few months I even reduced my PC time just to stop my PC from overheating and losing the data on bigger articles. I do not own a laptop, but if I would own one I would be able to edit Wikipedia on the go or whenever I can't use my PC at home, and I could use it to show to and try to bring people to my local Wiki, which is in dire need of new contributers. Without showing them how to edit Wikipedia, and only by talking about it, it's very hard for me to raise interest in my local Wiki.Ionutzmovie (talk) 22:52, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
