Kirundi-Kinyarwanda situation

This page outlines the pros and cons of merging the Kirundi Wikipedia, which is written in Kirundi and the Kinyarwanda Wikipedia, which is written in Kinyarwanda. Merge all projects in Kirundi and Kinyarwanda. Possibly keep Kirundi content in a separate "tab" on Kinyarwanda sites.

Pros

• Similar languages/dialects
• Both Wikipedias are small.

Cons

• They have many differences and are used in different countries (Rwanda vs. Burundi).
• They have different orthographies
• They can be considered dialects of the Rwanda-Rundi language.

Comments on Proposal 1

I don't agree with this, but the proposal was mentioned in Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Twi Wikipedia. In my opinion, this proposal should obviously 100% fail. Do not merge these projects. PiRSquared17 (talk) 16:49, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
