Kwjbot

I would like to request a bot flag for my bot Kwjbot. This bot will welcome newbies and write welcome log on Meta:Welcome log.(require {{WLE}}) This bot is based on Pywikipediabot.--Kwj2772 13:06, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

• Oppose all kinds of robotic welcomes. This is completely unnecessary, and newbies will really react more positively at welcomes issued by humans. Also, there is a problem with vandals being welcomed. MaxSem^{(Han shot first!)} 13:12, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

• Oppose - Per MaxSem, and probably Meta doesn't really need bots to welcome users, its not that active and users that contribute get welcomed by a couple of users anyway...--Cometstyles 13:15, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

• Oppose It would have been better to discuss this idea first. Bot welcomes are a bad idea on this wiki. Better for Commons I think where the rules are tougher. Majorly ^talk 13:43, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
