Reports/November 2004/Wikibooks

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Activity is still low. Some meta work has been done, and a cookbook has been started as part of a clean-up project at the Danish Wikipedia - recipies are being moved to Wikibooks prior to deletion at Wikipedia, so that the work of the contributors is not wasted. --Christian S 19:25, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC).

Activity increased a lot in the last 2 month. We now have 359 registred users and 3043 modules in approx. 125 books. There is already some very good finished work like the physics-stuff from user de:Benutzer:Siegfried Petry. Other projects are in progress and growing very good. --Moolsan 11:55, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The English Wikibooks passed 5000 modules in November. Thanks to new admin User:Yann, many of the non-English modules that were sitting around after our move to different domains for each language have been moved to their new homes, and deleted from the english database. The Chinese linkspam problem is still with us, so users are asked to keep a watch on Recent Changes. Gentgeen 07:01, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Activity on the French Wikibooks increased a lot. We also have new contributors, with a total of 130. Computer programming fields expanding and new subjects appeared: mechanics and philosophy. Yann 09:37, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)
