The Bulgarian Wikiversity (Уикиверситет) is showing a promising growth rate and already some people have taken interest in it. As Bulgarian is a living language with several million speakers and the already existing Meta-Wiki projects in that language have shown a steady increase in both the number of users and articles I consider it to be only reasonable that there be a Wikiversity in Bulgarian which would provide a place where educational texts can be edited and posted. azimski 15:32, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

- Support: I think that having a Bulgarian Wikiverity is a good idea, because there's finally a place where people can learn interactively with free materials written for both experienced and inexperienced users. Rronny 17:26, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

I must admit that it looks good with all these nice pictures, but we already have a Wikibooks wiki in Bulgarian which is doing poorly because there are not enough editors there. Right now you have started 4 wikibooks on bg Wikiversity - Italian, German, Java, and Pascal. At Wikibooks we have more that that and when somebody wants to find information he would like to look at as few places as possible, so isn't it better everything to be on one site - Wikibooks (the nice pictures can be added there as well)? On the other hand, I don't like the Wikibooks name/domain, because it's not international. "Books" is an English-only word, while "university" is more understandable internationally. So I would support a Bulgarian Wikiversity, but only if the Bulgarian Wikibooks is closed down. --V111P 23:35, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- The point of Wikiversity (WV) is not to have pretty pictures, but to have courses where people can interact with each other. The English wikiversity already has a nice example of this: courses where people can sign there name and be sent exercises via mailing lists or send solutions back to users who have offered to tutor in such courses. When it is completed the Pascal course will follow this example and I will personally see to it that people who take part in it can ask any question and get an aswer. I, however, can not tutor in more than a couple of courses, but I am certain there will be more interest once the project is started both from tutors and course participants. I see no need to close the Bulgarian wikibooks, because it is the place to store books that do not intend to teach anything, but rather to entertain. azimski 11:59, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Currently 97.57% of the MediaWiki messages and 75.38% of the messages used in extensions used by the Wikimedia Foundation have been localised at Betawiki. Thanks, GerardM 07:27, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
