Proper printing in exotic languages[edit]

I had the pleasure of visiting the WMF offices in SF and the lovely signs there made me smile.

Improving and enhancing the translations is a worthy undertaking, but it is also important to note that some of the current signs are not properly printed in the less common languages, such as Arabic and Chinese - the fonts and the right-to-left directionality were wrong. Before printing out the signs, let the translators check that the PDF, SVG, XCF, or whatever you use to prepare them for printing, look fine, too. --Amir E. Aharoni 19:57, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
