What might "Evaluating programs" mean? How to use programs for evaluating articles and pictures? Different programs for evaluating chapters? How to evaluate computer programs? It's a mystery. --Oop (talk) 06:53, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Oop, it refers to the programmatic activities that the chapters are doing, eg. Wiki Loves Monuments, Education Program, Edit-a-thons, Wikipedia workshops etc. Evaluation can serve as a tool in order to improve the outcome/impact of those programs (eg. how can we – by measuring and tracking the results – get a better understanding of how successful the program is? Also: how does this help us to drive the impact of a specific program?). Let me know if there's anything else I can help with. Best --Frank Schulenburg (talk) 09:09, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's a pity no one from our chapter (WMEE) could be there. We'll try to get everything we can from the Etherpad notes. At first glance, it seems there is not much about the actual methods of evaluation or best practices, neither links to practical experience in chapters. We'd be quite interested in that. Are there any other notes that have not been published yet? --Oop (talk) 08:51, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
