Template talk:Draft

This template was added to Translation teams with an editing comment explaining that the community should be invited to work on the page. However, this is not the effect this template has on me. To me, it reads "don't care about the content of this page, we (whoever "we" is) are not finished with it." If the template is used to encourage participation it should rereworded. Maybe just an addition of "feel free to update it" would do the trick. // habj 11:06, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Agreed on need of rewording.

• We: for instant remedee, it can be said in the passive voice. "We" shouldn't be taken "we except you" as you pointed it out, habj.
• "feel free to update it" is generally fine, but it could cause problems in some cases, if it is applied to the document only invited members are expected to update. "for convinience" would be also unclear - it could mean "for convinience for editors of this document". I am not sure if there is no case currently.
• So ideas: we could offer two types template for drafts. One is a draft all editors are invited to edit as well normal documents and the stress would be placed it is not still considered or never as official policy, still you would find it useful. Another is a draft whose edits are exclusive for people in charge as Local chapter FAQ, though this document is not tagged with this template. Considering the current situation, we need only the first type template and will be able to simply conclude it "feel free to update it", "join the discussion on talk page to improve" or any nice inviting wordings? --Aphaia 15:36, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
