I am Effeietsanders, commoners' Dutch for For a while something else. I'm a chemistry MSc student at Leiden University, the Netherlands, and am active in many parts of Wikimedia. Currently I'm active on both Dutch and English Wikipedia as an editor (with several detours to other projects), as a volunteer with Wikimedia Nederland, in the Chapters Committee and some other international Wikimedia initiatives. In the past I also edited the Dutch Wikisource and Wikibooks, I was steward for 3.5 years and have helped out at Wikimania's, Chapter Meetings (2008 and 2010) and local conferences and events. In 2010, 2011 and 2012 especially active with organizing Wiki Loves Monuments - trying to help out the different chapters and groups with their organization. In 2010 in the Netherlands, in 2011 in 18 European countries and now in 2012 in the whole world. I have been active in the Wikimedia Universe since February 2005.
In 2011 I was candidate for the Community-selected seats of the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation (candidacy, ended as second runner-up) and in 2012 I have been nominated for the Chapter-selected Board seats by Wikimedia Polska (candidacy, ongoing).
You can often find me on Freenode IRC in channels like #wikimedia-stewards and #wikimedia . You could try to locate me under the nicks Eia, Eiaway or Effeietsanders. Other ways of finding me are through Google talk and skype, with usernames you could probably guess from the top of this page.
