Personal Information
- My name is Paul Williams, and I have been contributing to the Wikimedia wikis since the 8th of August 2005, when I "slightly expanded" the English Wikipedia article "Internet Relay Chat admin". From then I have gone on to contribute to a number of different wikis, and on the 23rd of June 2006, I made the English Wikinews my new home project.
- I am 19 years of age, and come from Essex, England. I finished my A Level courses in June 2008. I currently work as an ICT Technician at a secondary school, as well as study for a BSc (Hons) (Open) with the Open University.
Wikimedia Projects Information
- I am an administrator, accredited reporter, Checkuser, Bureaucrat, and former ArbCom member on the English Wikinews. I sporadically answer OTRS tickets for the Wikinews queue. I am a freenode staffer, operator for the #wikipedia, #wikipedia-en, #wikinews, and #wikinews-en channels, and long-time IRC user and administrator. I am a list administrator for the Wikinews-L mailing list.
Wikimedia UK
- I am the Volunteers Director for Wikimedia UK, the UK Chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation. I was elected to the Board on the 26th of April 2009.
