Request IP Unblock[edit]
Please unblock my IP, having an IP in the same range as an alleged open proxy is not against the rules & clearly the blocking of my IP was unjust.

- There IS NO proxy running on my IP address! If you believe I am mistaken please name the port it is operating on & I will investigate.
Re-Request IP Unlock[edit]
Template:Unblock-ip Is there some mistake? No proxy is running on my IP or has run in the specified time. The reason given does not even state WHICH IP was involved. Why block hundreds of addresses because ONE address ran a proxy?
http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Guide_to_appealing_blocks#Open_proxy_blocks clearly states range blocks relate to abuse of DYNAMIC IPs. This block is *statically* applied and noone has provided any evidence of my IP running a proxy.
- Hi. It is general practice to sometimes apply rangeblocks to hosting/VPS/serverfarms when there appears to be multiple open proxies running it, under the assumption that any users would have access to the their normal IPs to edit. Users who do not have access to their normal IPs (notably, people under the Great Firewall of China) generally create accounts and have the ip block exemption applied, which lets their account bypass IP blocks. For example, I believe you were connected on IRC thru an IP that was not this, and that you could easily, I assume, edit Wikipedia under, should you decide not to create an account.
