[edit] Backup
Hi Midom,
Is there some special reason for making backup only for wikipedias from aa to nl? Is it possible to make and publish a backup of ukrainian wikipedia? Regards. --Gutsul
- All backups sooner or later are made :) Midom 09:28, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Budget
Howdy.
Any help you can give at Wikimedia budget/2006/Q1/hardware will be appreciated. :) --Daniel Mayer 19:11, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
$350,000? Could you separate that in needs/wants/wishes? That amount is even larger than the top end of my projection yet actual spending has historically been toward the lower end of my projections. --Daniel Mayer 03:20, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Wishes: 10m$, needs: whole world, wants: 350k$ for Q1 hw growth. Historical datasets were smaller. Featuresets were smaller. It's not just about the load. Cheers. Midom 09:16, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

Ooom, 14:16, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] pronunciation of your name
Hi,
I am going to check and update Translation_requests/WMF/Board_of_Trustees/ja. Could you please check your entry on a pronunciation table and put self-checked in the checked column?--NJT 11:06, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Suggestions for changes in the WMF privacy policy.
Hello, I would like to draw your attention to some suggestions for changes in the WMF privacy policy posted that I posted today at the WMF site: [1]. Since the WMF Board of Trustees actually decides on any changes in the privacy policy, I hope that you, as a Board member, will take a look at these suggestions. The main gist of the suggested changes is to require some form of notification of those registered users whose identifying info is being sought by subpoenas in third-party lawsuits. These suggestions are motivated in large part by a discussion that took place in January 2008 at the Wikipedia Village Pump (Policy) page [2] in relation to an incident where identifying IP data of sixteen Wikipedia users was released in response to such a subpoena. Of course, anyone else reading this is also welcome to participate in the discussion on this proposal. Regards, Nsk92 21:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
