Test wikis[edit]
This list is extremely incomplete. Help expand it or, better, join the discussion about them.
- Main ones are test.wikipedia.org, test2.wikipedia.org
- Now we have http://labs.wikimedia.beta.wmflabs.org/ and all the related wikis in the form http://af.wiktionary.beta.wmflabs.org but they're not accessible from anywhere, nor explained clearly, nor have an index or any navigation tool.
- Used to be deployment.wmflabs.org
- The situation will get worse with subdomains not following any clear rule like http://education.wmflabs.org
- As of July 2012, wmflabs.org wikis are flooded with spam so they're clearly not meant to host any original content (discussion, reports or whatever) but should only be considered short-lived sandboxes.
- Several Labs wikis have been important for a while, now locked for unclear reasons and redirected to wikitech.wikimedia.org.
- A bunch of prototype wikis etc. exist or have existed at some point.
