The Wikipedia Library – #oawiki
#oawiki (open access for all) – November, 2017. Imagine a Wikipedia where everyone can check their sources, created by librarians for everyone. Wikipedia is a first stop for researchers, students and those looking for reliable information. Let's make it better! #1lib1ref engaged librarians in the process of adding one reference to Wikipedia! Because, any citation to a reliable source is a benefit to Wikipedia readers worldwide. Now, we want to make as many of these references as possible Open Access. When you check a reference to the article, make sure to include the hashtag #OAWiki in the edit summary so that we can track participation. Running in October, the #OAWiki campaign is and has been supported by Wikipedia Library and a number of Wikimedia Affiliates around the world. We also work closely with a number of local library networks to promote the campaign. Check out who is participating and add your organization. As part of the campaign local libraries of all types and sizes are hosting activities to promote the campaign: check them out! If you would like to host one, check [</>|this Coffee Hour kit for ideas and tools]! === How to Participate: There are two options: you can use the OABot to confirm whether sources are OA; or you can research citations on your own. For the OABot, follow this link [</>|OABot ] How do you do an OA search?.
Looking for OA resources to help you in your citation search? Look no further.
