Bahasa Indonesia: acara saprahan adalah tradisi makan bersama pada acara-acara besar masyakat melayu khususnya wilayah kalimantan barat, salah satunya adalah kabupaten sambas, foto ini diambil di salah satu dusun kecil di kecamatan jawai kabupaten sambas. acara pernikahan khas melayu diawalai dengan serakkalan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan makan-makan dengan saprahan. makan bersama-sama dengan tangan dan duduk bersila. dewasa ini hanya sedikit yang melakukan budaya ini, kebanyakan hanya dilakukan di daerah terpencil dimana budaya melayu masih kental. tempat makan wanita dan laki-laki terpisah. perempuan biasanya di dalam rumah mempelai, sedangkan laki-laki berada di tenda (tarub , dalam bahasa sambas).
