English: Amegilla cingulata cingulate is a native blue-banded bee found in the Philippines, they are a subspecies of the Australian blue-banded bee (Amegilla cingulata). In the Philippines there are two subspecies of Amegilla; 1.) Amegilla cingulata andrewsi and 2.) Amegilla cingulata cingulate. A. c. andrewsi are seen in Surigao and other parts of Mindanao, while A. c. cingulate can be found in all parts of the Philippines. This species is present in the lowland area of Northern Negros Natural Park. These Philippine native bees are one of the most colorful and beautiful bee.
