Im Rahmen der Jahrestagung der Lagergemeinschaft Ravensbrück/Freundeskreis e.V., die Gedenkkugel dauerhaft installiert. Sie erinnert an die inhaftierten, verfolgten und auch ermordeten lesbischen Häftlinge im

Frauen-Konzentrationslager Ravensbrück und Uckermark. Während der Befreiungsfeier am 1. Mai diesen Jahres konnte bereits das erste offizielle Gedenken an die lesbischen Opfer des Nationalsozialismus in Ravensbrück stattfinden, damals mit einer gläsernen Gedenkscheibe.
