Description

en:HadCM3 zonal mean temperatures in June-July-August (top) and December-January-February (bottom) from a control run. Plot created using en:IDL by William M. Connolley. Horizontal axis is latitude, pole to pole; southern hemisphere negative. Vertical axis: LHS: pressure (hPa); RHS: pressure (approximate model level equivalents).

Technical note: in converting from potential temperature to temperature no correction is made for orography, hence all surface pressures appear to be 1000 hPa. This is most noticeable over Antarctica, which appears to be missing.

This graph image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Hadcm3-jja-djf-zonal-mean-t.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
