Description
English: Most popularly known as 108 Shiva Mandir, this marvelous heritage site of Kalna, Burdwan, West Bengal, India was built around first half of 19th Century by Maharaj Tej Chandra Bahadur. It is an Archeological Survey of India enlisted Heritage site. This Hindu temple is a brilliant architectural masterpiece, constructed in two concentric circles, of which the outer circle consists of 74 temples, consisting of white marble and black stone Shiva Lingas, while the inner circle has 34, consisting of only white marble Shiva Lingas. The Lingas of each temple face the north direction. This is a view of the temples of the inner circle.
