Summary

Description Synthesis of A232 (Novichok-5) and A234. Each has been mentioned in connection with the w:poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal, though at this time I've seen no definitive statement on the precise substance used. The chemical structures in this reaction scheme are taken directly from the PDF available at https://www.researchgate.net/publication/288702130_Potential_Chemical_Warfare_Agents ; to these I have added English translations of the chemical names and otherwise relabeled for consistency. Sources for the main translations are [1][2]

This chemical image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Novichok synthesis.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
