Summary

Description
English: Pictured, crew in the Operations Room of HMS Kent take part in an Air Defence Exercise whilst on BALTOPS 20.

In June 2020, HMS Kent took part in an air defence exercise (ADEX) whilst on Op BALTOPS 20.

The NATO exercise (BALTOPS) which takes place each year sees various countries take part in gunnery serials, man overboard exercises, air defence and anti-submarine exercises, including close proximity sailing.

As one of the Royal Navy’s newest frigates, HMS Kent has been specially designed for versatility, meaning she can undertake a wide variety of operations, from combat and humanitarian aid to acting as a training vessel for the next generation of Royal Navy engineers.

She has also played a key role in high profile ceremonial events.
