Description
English: The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture – Sipocot, through the initiative of College of Education and College of Education Extension Services, held its SICCLAB lecture series 1: “The Wikimedia Community” on October 15, 2023, via Google Meeting and Facebook Livestream.

The webinar was in partnership with Bicolano Quill, Philippine Wikimedia Community Inc., and Artists Guild Academia. Faculty and staff of the College of Education, together with the writers, artists, in-service teachers, and students of CBSUA-Sipocot participated the event.

Irvin P. Sto. Tomas, an administrator and editor of Bikol Wikipedia, is the organizer of Bikol Wikipedia Community, the founding chair of PhilWiki Community, the board treasurer and a member of the Common Photographer User Group, and the ESEAP Preparatory Council.

He comprehensively discussed the concept of the Wikimedia Community or Foundation. The event proceeded with the official launching of Wikimedia Community in CBSUA-Sipocot.

In the afternoon session, the College of Education Extensionists, together with Dr. Ocampo, convened for the launching of the CBSUA-Sipocot Wikimedia Society (CSWS), the core group, and the team designed to manage and run the organization.
