DescriptionSt. Clair Baptist Church Choir - 1997.jpg
English: This is the St. Clair Avenue Baptist Church chancel choir in 1997. Notable in this picture is the original church baptistry in the background immediately over the choir seats (behind the standing choir) - with leaded glass windows. The smaller stage area behind the choir predates the expansion of the platform in 2011, hence the first row of the choir (ladies) is standing on the floor level of the sanctuary. Also in this picture of some historical significance, is the free-standing projector screen to the left of the choir. The congregational choruses were projected on this screen from an 'overhead projector' (see Wikipedia reference to same). Much earlier, the church used a single slide projector which used 'glass slides'. This picture was taken before the choir took on the name RockSteady Choir.
