English: Operation Horev, January 1949)

משה (מוישל'ה) גרבר, יליד קובנה, 1924. עלה לארץ בגפו בגיל 11 והתחנך בכפר הנוער בן-שמן. ב1937 התגייס להגנה וסייע בפעולות השמירה וההגנה. ב1942 התגייס לצבא הבריטי וסייע בהקמת מחנות מעבר לפליטים היהודים ובארגון עליה ב'. בהמשך השתתף בשיירות האספקה לירושלים טרם פרוץ מלחמת השחרור. משאיתו הותקפה ב"שער הגיא" והוא ונהג המשנה נפצעו, הם חולצו תחת אש ומשאיתם נותרה עד היום בשער הגיא. בהמשך, גויס כלוחם ליחידת הקומנדו של גדוד 12. מוישל'ה השתתף בקרבות קשים בהגנה על סג'רה ונורה בכתפו, לאחר הקרב הועבר הגדוד שלו לנגב והוא השתתף במבצע "חורב". בתמונה נראה מוישל'ה ביום בו פינה פצועים מאזור הקרבות בנירים ב-5 בינואר 1949. בין יתר הנפגעים פינה מוישל'ה את חברו פטל זייציק (פטליק) מקיבוץ דגניה ב', שנפטר מפצעיו. במרץ 1949 השתחרר מצה"ל וחזר לביתו שבאלומות. נחקר ונערך ע"י לאה גולדמן ועמית מנור, החוג להיסטוריה - סמינר הקיבוצים.
