Program Evaluation Workshops for GLAM-Wiki Conference![edit]

We are pleased to inform that our proposed workshopd for GLAM-Wiki Conference have been accepted! We will host two different workshops, both on Friday, April 11. We encourage program leaders to share their views, give us feedback and share your own experience in these topics. Please refer to the workshops pages on the Conference Wiki.

Pitching GLAM-Wiki Partnerships[edit]

How to pitch for GLAM partnerships?
This is a commonly asked question for learning and evaluation. This workshop will include a panel of presenters who will: present their best practices for how to identify a good potential partnership, share the important steps and strategic points for planning and launching a successful pitch, and call out any mistakes to learn from. Following panel presentations participants will be asked to reflect on the shared learning, plan for next steps, and taking action.

Schedule:
Friday, April 10 - 3:30 - 4:30 pm (GMT +1)
Koninklijke Bibliotheek, Room A

Hosts:

  • Jaime Anstee
  • Co-Facilitators: Beat Estermann, Maria Cruz
  • Panelists: Àlex Hinojo (Amical); Barbara Fisher (WMDE); Whiteghost.ink (WM-Au); Mylee Joseph Mylee (Aliaretiree) State Library of NSW, other GLAM partners TBA

Wikimetrics training[edit]

If you are new to Wikimetrics, or are experimenting with the tool, come by this new workshop! We'll host a live demo where participants can see step by step how to operate the tool. If you have a list of users (called a cohort) that you would like to run through Wikimetrics, bring it with you and we can go through it together.

Schedule:
Saturday, April 11 - 2:00 - 2:50 pm (GMT +1)
Koninklijke Bibliotheek, Room E

Hosts:

  • Jaime Anstee
  • Co-Facilitators: Maria Cruz

Tracking and Reporting GLAM-Wiki Partnerships[edit]

How to track and report for GLAM partnerships? This is another commonly asked question for learning and evaluation. This workshop will include a panel of presenters who will: present their best practices for how to identify key tracking and reporting needs, share the important steps and strategic points for implementing successful tracking and reporting to your partnership collaborators, and call out any mistakes to learn from. Following panel presentations participants will be asked to reflect on the shared learning, plan for next steps, and taking action.

Schedule:
Saturday, April 11 - 3:30 - 4:30 pm (GMT +1)
Koninklijke Bibliotheek, Room A

Hosts:

In both cases, from the perspective of knowledge sharing, Workshop participants will learn useful strategies for GLAM-Wiki work, tips for issues to avoid in pitching as well as tracking and reporting, and discuss ways to integrate lessons learned into future efforts. All that is shared across the workshop process will be documented in our evaluation portal in our learning pattern library and be shared and developed further at a follow-up workshop at Wikimania in July.

We hope to see many of you there!
