For several years, the revenue streams have mainly focused on online payment systems or credit cards, using banners and email in developed countries. In emerging countries, people find it more convenient to pay in cash and other payment systems less popular in developed countries.

Q 2a What assumptions are you making about the future context that lead you to make this Recommendation?

In several Asia countries, mobile payment using QR code is popular recently. People can easily pay something without worry about cash payment.

The mobile payments system is growing significantly in Southeast and East Asia. So, if we can build the system and integrate into the current structure, it can boost the revenue stream in this country.
