Most of the Movement work with charitable foundations, individual givers, is centred in the United States. However, many affiliates may benefit from having expertise around fundraising, which will enable them to be less reliant on Movement funds, and will enable them to develop relationships with local charitable foundations and individual donors. Fundraising correctly is a skill, and one that may contribute to the organization growth, but may also hinder to growth (e.g. if funds are “colored” towards specific non-strategic projects) if not done carefully. So, I propose creating a function which will develop Movement Knowledge and actively develop fundraising skills and provide “technical support” for local affiliates.
