Collaborative functionality?[edit]

Hi, this recommendation is about supporting decision making. I would like to suggest to also speak about facilitating dialogue and collaboration. I think about tools like Microsoft Teams and Workplace. Would it be thinkable to explore partnerships with for example https://kune.cc. I can also imagine that the European parliament is interested in creating a public platform for European citizends to collaborate. In 2020 I would like to plan a meeting with the team behind https://together.eu Timboliu (talk) 09:14, 21 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Timboliu: the recommendation also covers discussion (you cannot really have decisionmaking without discussion), but since the focus was on making recommendations for structural change, we focused on what changes should be wrought and not what specific means can be used to make them happen. --Tgr (talk) 02:13, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Tgr: Thanks for your explanation! Do you also know what happens with the recommendations? What are next steps? Who will decide which recommendations are turned into a project? Timboliu (talk) 10:11, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Timboliu: the recommendations have been summarized into a smaller set of higher level recommendations which are compact enough that they can be sent to the WMF board. They will be published very soon, I believe, and circulated for community feedback. --Tgr (talk) 10:38, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Tgr: You say very soon. Will it be in this or next month? When do you think I can get back to you? Regards, Timboliu (talk) 08:39, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Timboliu: Two weeks ago, actually: Strategy/Wikimedia movement/2018-20/Recommendations. There's a FAQ linked from that page which contains some details about next steps. --Tgr (talk) 10:06, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Tgr: Thanks Tgr! Timboliu (talk) 12:52, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
