User:Leo of Monterrey, I saw that an article you started recently, List of spy films, was at wikipedia's AFD. Nominator claimed "There are 999 films in subcats of Category:Spy films by century per PetsScan so the scope of this list is too broad and WP:INDISCRIMINATE so not useful to readers."

Do you want advice as to how to counter the WP:INDISCRIMINATE criticism?

Say you are going to only cover spy films that are already recognized by an authoritative source, or a small group of authoritative source. For instance:

  1. Spy Fiction, Spy Films and Real Intelligence
  2. Encyclopedia of American Spy Films
  3. Some organizations - maybe the American Film Institute, list the best 100, 200, 500 films. Select spy films from theier lists.

It could be argued that your list is not truly indiscriminiate, because they are all spy films. The counter argument would be that your list is based on your judgment on which spy films are significant, and you are not a film expert, so these are spy films you, a non-expert, encountered at random. Basing the article on lists made by experts addresses this issue.

I'd put the list into chronological order, or alphabetical, by director.

It might be useful to give each entry a one or two sentence note, like "First Western spy film to feature a Soviet hero."
