Context and description[edit]
The main objective of this campaign is to contribute to increasing the number of active users in the Maghreb in Wikimedia projects by encouraging new users to participate in highlighting issues related to knowledge for a sustainable future through Wikimedia projects in local or international languages, mainly Arabic, Moroccan derja, Tachelhit, Shawiya, Kabyle, in Wikipedias, Wiktionaries, Wikidata, and Campaign Maghreb Environment on Wikimedia Commons.
Note that this is such an important joint initiative that has been organised in the Maghreb, where there are several linguistic and cultural communities and several projects.
The project will focus on building the capacity of new users and improving their knowledge of climate change and the need for a sustainable future in a healthy environment through training workshops and editathons, which will be done in partnership with local groups and personal initiatives working on environmental rights: teachers, university students, Wikipedians, Wiktionnarists, photographers, etc.
